What does monthly managed IT service include?
Understand what your monthly IT agreement covers, which costs sit outside it, and what to ask before you sign.

A monthly IT agreement should make it easier to understand who is looking after your business. You should know how employees get help, which systems are covered, what the team manages between support requests, and when additional charges apply.
Providers package their services differently. Here is how we structure managed IT at Huneidi Services, and what we recommend checking in any proposal.
The short answer
Our recurring managed IT service includes unlimited remote support for the users and systems in your agreed environment, the required security and management tools, and ongoing updates and system management. Microsoft 365 licensing, backups, onsite visits, projects, virtual CIO work, and extended-hours coverage are separate line items or scope.
The proposal defines the details. “Managed IT” is a useful description of the relationship, but it does not replace a written agreement about responsibilities.
Employee support: a clear place to ask for help
When someone cannot sign in, an application stops working, or a computer is causing problems, they need a straightforward way to reach the support team. Your employees’ support requests to Huneidi go through our ticketing process so the work can be tracked.
Unlimited remote support applies to the supported users and systems in the agreed environment. It does not automatically include every new application, location, or project the business takes on. Those changes need to be discussed so the agreement continues to reflect the work.
Security, management, and updates between tickets
Your team should not have to report a broken computer before any IT work happens. Our recurring service includes the security and management tools required for the supported environment, along with ongoing updates and system management.
Ask a prospective provider what it manages, who reviews problems that need attention, and what happens when an issue requires a business decision. A tool on a device is only one part of the service; someone also needs responsibility for the work it identifies.
Business application problems need coordination
A problem can sit between a computer, Microsoft 365, and an industry-specific application. Employees often cannot tell which part is responsible. They should be able to describe what is happening without diagnosing it first.
We investigate across the systems involved and coordinate with outside vendors when needed. An outside software company still controls its own product and may charge for its services. The important point is that your business knows who is coordinating the next step.
What is priced separately?
| Item | How Huneidi treats it |
|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 licensing | Separate licensing costs. |
| Backups | Separate service or line item; confirm the information covered and recovery responsibilities. |
| Onsite visits | Separate from unlimited remote support. |
| Migrations and other projects | Defined scope, timing, and project pricing. |
| Virtual CIO guidance | Separately scoped strategic work. |
| Extended-hours or 24/7 coverage | Paid coverage options agreed around your needs. |
| AI training, automation, and custom applications | Separate projects. |
Separate pricing makes it possible to see what you are buying. It also helps you compare proposals fairly: a lower support fee may leave out work included in another provider’s total.
What happens as the business grows?
Adding employees means planning accounts, devices, applications, and access. Another location may bring new connectivity and vendor work. Longer operating hours can change support coverage requirements.
Tell your provider about those plans before they become urgent. At Huneidi, we discuss the additional support, escalation, and project requirements alongside the existing service. Businesses with an internal IT person can also explore co-managed IT, with responsibilities divided between the teams.
Five questions to ask before signing
- Which employees, devices, applications, and locations are covered?
- What does unlimited support include, and what are the support hours?
- Who coordinates an issue involving another software or service provider?
- Which recurring costs and project charges sit outside the support fee?
- How will we update the agreement as the business changes?
If you run a business with 10 or more employees in St. Louis, Edwardsville, Glen Carbon, or the Metro East, see our managed IT service or tell us about your current setup. We will work through the responsibilities and prepare a proposal around your environment.
