Before the handover
Start with responsibilities
Before discussing tools, write down the work you expect the new provider to own. Include employee support, system management, security responsibilities, and how exceptions will be handled. Separate recurring service from projects and additional coverage.
Know who controls the environment
Identify who has authority over your business accounts, domain, Microsoft 365 environment, and key applications. The handover should be coordinated through authorized business contacts. Avoid passing credentials through ordinary inquiry forms or email threads.
Plan the handover with the current provider
Discuss documentation, account access, vendor relationships, and open issues. A clear transition plan helps both teams understand what needs to happen and when. Ask the new provider which dependencies must be understood before changes are made.
Tell employees where to get help
A technical transition also changes the support experience. Employees need a clear route to the help desk and an understanding of what to report. Confirm how tickets are received and who follows them through.
Ask what is separately priced
Confirm the treatment of software licenses, backups, onsite visits, projects, and extended support. A useful proposal makes these differences visible. Huneidi coordinates provider handovers and defines the supported environment in the agreed scope.
